Song Lyrics about Fortitude & Tenacity: "Remember Who I Am"...I am blessed to know such wonderful people. After one evening of getting together, my friends inspired me to write this poem. As conversations often do, our conversation of reflection and purpose mixed with a cup of laughter and fun, left me pondering my creative side. As the night wound down, we gathered in my front yard, hugging each other to say our sad goodbyes. It was hard to say goodbye. That warm-aired summer evening and the precious memory of my friends lingered with me for hours afterwards. Oh yes, these ladies inspired me: A blessed evening with friends, with me forever, in this poem. Written by Barbara Tremblay Cipak Remember Who I Am (Song Lyrics) (Verse 1) I've walked my roads without shortcuts And missed so many turns I've stopped along my journey And outright refused to learn But somewhere in my spirit Is a light I'll never fully comprehend It takes me through my painful chapters To reach my story's end (Chorus) In my deepest darkest days I cry In my deepest darkest days I die In my deepest darkest days I learn to try I reach for the sky With my arms open high And always remember who I am (Verse 2) This road is long, the book a million pages At times I get so tired I have to read and walk in stages But there is a power beneath my feet That allows me to float on stressful days Not knowing how or even why I suddenly turn that page (Chorus) In my deepest darkest days I cry In my deepest darkest days I die In my deepest darkest days I learn to try I reach for the sky With my arms open high And always remember who I am (Verse 3) The voyage traveled is my narrative Remembering who I am imperative It's my contribution to this place I signature in stone... It's not the battles failed, it is the journey flown (Chorus) In my deepest darkest days I cry In my deepest darkest days I die In my deepest darkest days I learn to try I reach for the sky With my arms open high And always remember who I am I will affirm; I've made a difference Remembering who I am, please remember who I am Wishing you well, Barb Find your peace and find your place in this world Smile even when it hurts Complete your lifes plan See the beauty around you, it's plentiful You'll find it in the smallest things and always remember, you are loved Take Me To Your Beautiful Songs of Hope Songs of Faith Sweet Dream Songs |
