I PAINT YOU

Poem, Suffering from War: For the victims of war, especially the children. I changed the third last line from "Your Sketch is My Freedom" to "torment"...only because I wanted to focus on the suffering verses those of us who have no idea what suffering from war is. That would be me, as I have never had a direct connection to war. My heart goes out to those who have.

I Paint You
By Barbara Tremblay Cipak, Copyrighted

I sit hear crying in the chair of my well painted life,
at the drawing that is yours...
Where are your colors?
My three shades of green sing out peace...
until I see your screaming walls of black
While watching you stare blankly into what was,
I am surrounded by what is,
loss that is not mine
this loss I own,
Your sketch is my torment,
Seeking absolution is my canvas
I paint you

Wishing you well, Barb

Find your peace and find your place in this world
Smile even when it hurts
Complete your lifes plan
See the beauty around you, it's plentiful
You'll find it in the smallest things
and always remember, you are loved
